How do I make a reservation at COB?

Reservations for COB are obtained through our website form or by telephone. The details for this are available on our Reservations page.

What happens if I need to make changes to my reservation?

If you need to make changes to your reservation, we kindly ask that you do so in advance to allow us to manage our bookings effectively. Regarding any dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform us at least five days prior to your reservation, so we can prepare accordingly and ensure that you have an enjoyable dining experience.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to modify your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least two days in advance by email or telephone, and there will be no charge. If you cancel after that period, our cancellation procedure will apply.

However, we also appreciate that unexpected circumstances can arise last minute as well, and we will try our best to accommodate your needs. If we are able to fill the table you had reserved with another booking, your cancellation will be free of charge. But, if we are unable to find a replacement, we may need to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the menu price.

What are the opening and closing times of the Restaurant?

At COB, we want to make sure that your dining experience is unforgettable. Our dinner service runs from 6:00 PM every week from Thursday to Sunday between June and October. To fully enjoy our culinary experience, we recommend allowing two to four hours.

During the colder months, from October to June, we are open three days per week, Friday to Sunday. Our reduced hours reflect our focus on providing exceptional service, seasonal ingredients, and innovative menu offerings.

Can I enjoy a drink at COB before my meal?

No, unfortunately not. Because space is limited, we do not have a bar. However, our 4* hotel Tomi, which is just a few steps away, is available for drinks before or after your visit.

Do you offer wine pairings?

We take great pride in our wine selection and we’re delighted to offer wine pairings with all of our menus. Our wine pairings are thoughtfully selected to complement the flavors of our dishes, with a focus on showcasing the finest Slovenian wines.

In addition to our wine pairings, we have an extensive wine list that includes a variety of Slovenian wines, as well as exceptional wines from nearby regions. We’re always happy to offer recommendations and assist you in selecting the perfect wine to enhance your dining experience.

What is the dress code?

COB has a very relaxed atmosphere and we want our guests to enjoy the experience as comfortably as possible so for that regard we do not have a dress code policy at the restaurant.

How much does the dinner cost?

The price of our experience is based on the selected menu and includes VAT. Please note that the price is for food only and does not include drinks or any additional extras.

Are children allowed in the restaurant?

We always welcome families with children to our restaurant and want to make sure everyone has an enjoyable dining experience. However, please note that due to limited space, we may not always be able to accommodate pushchairs or prams.

If you require a baby chair for your child, please let us know when making your reservation so that we can prepare your table accordingly. We kindly ask that you take care to ensure that your child does not disturb other guests.

Do you have a children’s menu?

We welcome our youngest guests to experience the flavors and delights of COB’s cuisine. While we do not have a specific children’s menu, we can prepare a shorter version of our original menu that includes fun and interactive snacks and small dishes for your child to enjoy.

Alternatively, if your child prefers a simple dish, we would be more than happy to prepare it for them. Please advise us of your child’s preferences when making your reservation, and our team will do their best to accommodate their needs.

Can you cater to dietary requirements?

We can usually cater to most health or allergy-related dietary requests with prior notice. We will do our best to adapt the experience according to each individual guest’s dietary requirements. We would ask that you advise our team of any dietary requests when making the reservation, so advance notice can be given to the kitchen. If we are not informed about your restrictions in time, we may not be able to adjust your menu.

Do you offer vegan menus?

At COB, we understand the importance of catering to different dietary requirements and preferences. We do offer vegan versions of our COB experience menu upon request. Please note that vegan menu preparation requires additional time, so we kindly ask you to inform us in advance when making your reservation.

Please also note that there is a surcharge added to the price of the vegan menu. Our team will be more than happy to provide you with more information on this when you make your reservation.

Can I smoke in the restaurant?

To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests, we kindly ask that smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not allowed in the dining area of our restaurant. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a pleasant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Are there car-parking facilities?

Yes, we have a car park available next to the restaurant.

How many people can be accommodated?

At COB, we have two distinct dining areas that can accommodate up to 24 guests in total. Depending on the season, your table may be located in either dining area, each offering a unique atmosphere and setting for your dining experience.

Our tables are designed to accommodate 2 to a maximum of 8 people. If you have any special requests regarding the location of your table, please do not hesitate to let us know when making your reservation.

What happens if I am late for dinner?

At COB, we strive to provide all our guests with a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. We kindly ask that you arrive at the agreed-upon time for your dinner reservation.

If you are running late, we appreciate a courtesy call to let us know. However, please note that if you are more than 30 minutes late, we may need to shorten your menu to ensure that our kitchen can serve all our guests in a timely and efficient manner. Please be aware that the full menu price will still apply.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we will always do our best to accommodate you to the best of our ability.
